Day 3/76: HIIT circuit & back day

Today I was out of the office all day at an event, which meant I was on my feet for 8 hours grinning at people who barely knew I was there. Honestly, the greetings were more tiring than the standing around.

I left the event earlier than I would normally leave the office, which gave me time to fit in a HIIT circuit before my boyfriend got home and we could go to the gym.

I started to feel ill last night with a runny nose and bit of a sore throat which got worse today, so I made the decision to try and sweat it out instead of curling up in a ball feeling sorry for myself. I then cooked the tastiest food of all time – salmon, veggies and eggs over easy. Winning.

I did the HIIT circuit that I have blogged about before, but this time using an online timer to make sure I wasn’t constantly clock watching and putting myself off. I’d been using the on-screen stopwatch on my iPad to let me know when every 30 seconds was up, but using an online timer meant that it beeped at me, letting me concentrate on the moves I was doing. The timer I used is this one, which also has an app: http://www.intervaltimer.com/timers/7027072-hiit-timer

Showered, fed and lycra’d up, my boyfriend and I hit the gym for a back session, and I thoroughly enjoyed a PT coming over to correct his dumbbell row technique as I could feel him dying inside the entire time. YAAAAAAS.

Still feeling pretty ropey, and I’m not sure workouts were a good idea after all.

Day 2: Chest session
